End-to-End Encryption

X3DH key agreement establishes a shared secret between you and your contact. All messages and files are end-to-end encrypted with AES-256. The server never has access to your private keys or message plaintext.

🔐 Encryption Architecture

⚡ X3DH + Double Ratchet

🔑
Key Agreement
X3DH (Extended Triple Diffie-Hellman) establishes a shared secret between parties using identity keys, signed pre-keys, and one-time pre-keys.
🔄
Message Ratchet
Double Ratchet algorithm derives a unique encryption key for every message. Compromising one key does not expose past or future messages.
📜
Text & Files
AES-256-CTR + HMAC-SHA256 for authenticated end-to-end encryption. Files are streamed in 64 KB chunks with independent encryption per chunk.
🎤
Audio Calls
HD voice calls use Opus 48 kHz / 192 kbps over WebRTC, encrypted with DTLS-SRTP (AES-128-GCM or AES-256-GCM keyed from the DTLS handshake). Audio is relayed through our SFU server.
